We are seeking a talented Senior Applications Developer (React & PHP) individual to join our team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, as part of our local Tech Hub.

This role plays a crucial part as we are looking for someone who possesses exceptional technical expertise and the ability to engage directly with business stakeholders. This role is designed for an independent thinker who thrives outside the confines of traditional Agile frameworks.

Marsh McLennan (MMC) has established its EMEA Technology Hub in Cluj, Romania, reflecting our commitment to innovation and excellence. This hub is central to our digital strategy, addressing emerging challenges and enhancing service delivery through advanced technology solutions that empower our clients and promote sustainable growth.

We will count on you to:

• Write clean and reusable code
• Perform effective unit testing to ensure quality output
• Be able to comfortably engage with business stakeholders, ask insightful questions and extract actionable specifications
• As a technical authority, manage expectations effectively, including saying no when necessary

What you need to have:

• Excellent communication in both English and Romanian
• PHP/CSS/HTML/JavaScript: Minimum of 3 years of experience with a proven track record of successfully completing projects utilizing these technologies.
• PHP Frameworks: knowledge of Zend Framework 2/Laminas framework with a minimum of 2 years of experience
• React & TypeScript: Minimum of 3 years of experience involved building responsive and dynamic user interfaces
• MySQL: Minimum of 2 years of experience
• Docker: Basic knowledge with at least 1 project experience involving containerization
• Adept with version control tools (GIT)
• Self-organized and able to manage time effectively.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to listen to clients and understand their needs.
• Experience in designing changes and proposing improvements and enhancements based on client feedback
