We have an exciting opportunity available for a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Records Assistant at our Network Rail Records Centre.
In this role, you’ll be a key player in keeping our records management system running efficiently, ensuring our team has the support they need to succeed. As a Records Assistant, you'll play a pivotal role in organising and maintaining a range of records, including digital files, paper documents and drawings. Your responsibilities will include organising and categorising records, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, safety and standards, alongside assisting with record retrieval and collaborating with the team.
We have four roles available – 2 x Permanent and 2 x 6 month fixed term contracts / secondments with the potential to be extended or become permanent.

Location: These positions are based at the National Records Group, National Record Centre, Audax Road, York, YO30 4US.
During your training period you would need to be office based, with the potential for some hybrid working.
Hours: 35 hours per week. Part-time or flexible working can be considered.
Salary range: Band 6, £21,060 per annum.

Drugs and Alcohol Standard:
All prospective external candidates offered a conditional role will be required to undergo and pass a drugs and alcohol test. Your application will be rescinded if you record a positive test. All positive drugs and alcohol test results for prospective candidates will be securely held on Sentinel database and a 5 year suspension from applying for a safety critical role, a role which requires PTS certification or a Key Safety role on Network Rail Managed Infrastructure will be enforced.
