Next generation customer shopping journeys are starting and ending outside Amazon stores as this next wave of shoppers finds inspiration through video games, virtual worlds, social media, and the metaverse. To meet the needs of these customers, the Amazon Anywhere team is on a mission to build the earth's most customer-centric shopping experience by providing Amazon's selection, price, and convenience for customers no matter where - or how – they find inspiration. Our team owns a product roadmap that enables developers across games, apps, and content creation to embed shopping deeply into those experiences, helping customers discover and purchase relevant products without breaking immersion or engagement.
After our initial launches, we seek a highly motivated and technically strong Senior Product Manager -Technical to take us into the next phase of growth by launching our next set immersive off-Amazon shopping experiences. This role will drive the process end to end, from helping to identify opportunities in areas like video games, media and entertainment, and wearable tech; engaging with both internal and external stakeholders; writing and presenting documents for senior leadership alignment; and then working with our partners and our dedicated engineering teams to implement and iterate new features and partner launches. This role has high visibility, high ambiguity and high impact, and will help shape the future of shopping for Amazon.
The ideal candidate has a strong technical product background, exceptional communication skills and a passion for innovation. They are able to create a strategic framework to analyze new opportunities. At the same time they are able to dive deep to understand and solve technical challenges, collaborating with our own engineering teams and partner developers on best in class solutions. The ideal candidate will stay connected on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to inform the product roadmap. Product expertise in specialized areas such as AWS, APIs, and immersive content experiences (e.g. video, advertising, online gaming) is a definite plus. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
