China-based lead for managing base metals management controlling (such as financial statement management) and finance (such as accounting entries, metals payments / receipts, compliance) processes
Lead, manage, and ensure proper accounting treatment for all base metals management transactions and positions.
Lead and manage month-end finance closing for China including journal entries and general ledger account review / verifications.
Lead and manage metals payments / receipts for China metals management transactions and book associated accounting entries – ensuring accurate transactions and compliant four-eyes principal approvals are put in place.
Implement, manage, and take the lead in ensuring internal control and compliance processes are in place and effective for the metals management operations – including four-eyes principles and proper segregation of duties between metals management business teams.
Support and direct interaction with any audits (internal or external) related to China base metals trading activities.
Operate and take a leading role in building up the metals management CTRM system and associated ecosystem for China and global entities and become an expert / power user of the system, leading its continuous development.
Support with the build-up and management of the global base metals management risk reporting framework (daily, monthly, quarterly, annually).
Work closely and collaboratively with our global Base Metals & PCAM Management / Sourcing business team members, with a focus on China/Asia topics
Report to, collaborate with, and provide periodic updates to the Global Head of Controlling, Finance, and Trading Operations
Provide ad-hoc support with global finance, controlling, and/or trading operations tasks where necessary / capacity allows.

Education required: bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or other business major with a focus on trading/investments.
Preferred: MBA or other trading/investments related master’s level degree
Minimum 3-5+ years of experience in a financial role and/or trading operations business
Financial accounting knowledge/education
Experience with business processes requiring stringent internal control procedures.
