What You Will Do
The Pulsed Field Facility of the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory (NHMFL) at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) has an opportunity for a postdoctoral researcher to explore novel magnetic phases at the world's premier high magnetic field research facility using a diverse set of experimental techniques. Successful candidates for this position will be expected to focus their efforts on elastic constant, magnetostriction and/or polarization measurements in DC and pulsed magnetic fields to understand new quantum magnetic phases of matter. The position also provides opportunities for industrious candidates to pursue new collaborations, develop complementary techniques, and perform independent research within related topics at LANL, a multidisciplinary research institution engaged in both fundamental and strategic science on behalf of national security.

Education/Experience: A Ph.D in experimental condensed-matter physics, materials science, or a related discipline completed within the past 5 years.

Salary:
