Description

Kentucky Dam Village is nestled in the lake country of western Kentucky, this premier state resort offers lodging, camping, boating, dining, and 1,400 acres of breathtaking recreational opportunities on the shores of Kentucky Lake. As one of the largest and busiest state Parks in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, we host thousands of folks throughout the year who visit with us on vacation or business. These numerous guests are always looking for a comfortable environment to rest and relax when completing their day of activity.

We are currently seeking an individual with the knowledge and desire to help these individuals enjoy their stay by maintaining the myriad of climate control equipment on park. The Mechanical Maintenance and Operations Technician III position will provide assistance to the Maintenance Superintendent in maintenance operations of all the facilities and equipment on the Park. The right candidate for this position will be responsible for overseeing and completing the preventative maintenance plans and repairs to the many water- source heat pumps along with numerous mechanical air handlers and refrigeration equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform duties assigned by Supervisor
  • Maintain and repair HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing and electrical systems
  • Work with other maintenance Staff
  • Maintain and repair basic equipment
  • Participate in the preventative maintenance program
  • Maintain required certifications

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION: High school graduate.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Four years of experience in the maintenance or repair of HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, or electrical systems.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Formal training in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.

Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Experience in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be 18 years of age.

Working Conditions

May be required to take care of emergency repairs twenty-four hours a day.

Probationary Period

This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
