At Kindle Unlimited, it's our mission to inspire the world to read more and get more out of reading. We're looking for a highly motivated self starter to help us identify and acquire engaging content for our subscription and build strategic partnerships with publishers and authors.

Key job responsibilities

  • Identify and assess the value of content to acquire for the Kindle Unlimited catalog based on industry trends and reader behavior
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with major publishers, effectively communicating the value proposition of Kindle Unlimited and negotiating on behalf of Amazon and its customers
  • Evaluate content performance and P&L metrics and adjust acquisition strategy accordingly
  • Partner with the product and marketing functions on customer acquisition and retention initiatives

About the team

The Reading Subscriptions Worldwide Selection team is responsible for making sure we're enrolling the best possible books for customers into Kindle Unlimited and Prime Reading globally.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years experience in digital content licensing, publishing, or related industry
  • 3+ years of negotiation and third party relationship management experience
  • Experience partnering with data science and finance partners to inform priorities, influence business decisions, and evaluate impact of initiatives
  • Experience delivering cross-functional projects
  • Clear passion for books, authors, and readers

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with subscription business models
  • Familiarity with rights management contractual frameworks
  • Previous experience in a technology-driven company
  • Excellent communication skills whether in written documents, small group discussions, large-scale presentations, or to senior leadership.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $130,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $216,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
