Function Overview

The GIC Supply Chain team manages end-to-end operations, encompassing planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and analytics. They strategically plan to meet market demands, optimize sourcing, ensure efficient production, and oversee the seamless movement of goods from production to delivery. The team employs advanced analytics throughout these processes, fostering adaptability and operational excellence. Purpose of the role

The role involves building, maintaining, and executing optimization and simulation models to help identify, analyze, and implement opportunities in the areas of manufacturing network design and optimization, supply network planning and realignment by incorporating supply chain costs, manufacturing complexity and capacity. The Sr Analyst supports the Supply Planning teams in identifying opportunities for manufacturing network and provides least cost sourcing options. Works on strategic projects and new capability development and enhancement initiatives.

Key Accountabilities

Developing Analytical Models (60% of Time)

  • Develop different modeling approaches/techniques to solve the business problem at hand and recommends the best approach
  • Work with the US & India Supply Chain partners to gather the required information and conducting the data validations & analysis.
  • Understand Project charter- Business context, Scope, Outcome & success criteria.
  • Build & refresh the capacity planning models periodically and provide recommendations to business teams in the areas of cost base capacity optimization, network change and service risk analysis.
  • Provides analytics support during implementation and transition phase.

Scenarios (15% of Time)

  • Run & analyze what-if scenarios by leveraging advance optimization & simulation tools and provide insights to business team.
  • Proactively analyze current set of the supply chain based upon facts and root cause analysis.

Other Responsibilities (15% of Time)

  • Ensure strong and clear process documentation and controls are in force
  • Prepare analysis reports, presentation, methodology documents & assumption documents for client meetings.
  • Communicate effectively with broad audience i.e., client/stakeholders/cross functional teams.

Development Opportunities (10% of Time)

  • Interact with cross-functional teams/stakeholders regularly to share opportunity areas and help reduce losses.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Full Time graduation from an accredited university (Mandatory)
  • 2 to 3 years of related experience
  • Advanced Excel, VBA, SQL, Basic optimization, Linear Programming

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • 4+ years of experience in core Supply Chain
  • Major Area of Study in Supply Chain / Production Planning Tools & Concepts
  • Professional Certifications: CSCP, CPIM
  • R/Python based optimization, Statistical modelling, Stochastic
  • SQL/GCP
