Minimum QualificationsThe qualifications to be considered as a part-time lecturer are substantial work experience in the instructional field and a master’s degree in Marketing or a related field of study from an accredited institution.

Discipline Specific Required QualificationsAt the time of hire applicants should have at least four (4) years of professional experience in a mid-level or higher position related to the lecturer’s instructional field.

Preferred QualificationTeaching experience is desirable, as well as ability to use technology to support teaching and learning. Primary responsibilities include junior and senior courses in the undergraduate marketing program and coordinating meetings with the departmental chair/faculty as required. Ideal candidates are collegial and engaged team players, enjoy outstanding teaching and oral/written communication skills, and have genuine appreciation of cultural diversity.

Salary Part-time Lecturers are paid per course taught commensurate with experience and/or qualifications.

Texas law requires faculty members whose primary language is not English to demonstrate proficiency in English as determined by a satisfactory paper-based test score of 500 (computer-based of 173 or internet-based of 61) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or a satisfactory test score of 6.0 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
