The Director, Supply Chain – China is responsible for end-to-end supply chain management for the collectible trading cards business in China (planning, inbound logistics, order management, distribution, and fulfillment). These local capabilities need to be built by this leader, but we believe our supply chain in China will consist of two core flows, one focused on domestically made product and its distribution through retail channels and another focused on higher value imported global products distributed to specialty channels. 

A successful candidate will have experience in standing up new supply chains and building teams in China that partner closely with global counterparts in both design and execution and are in lock step with the local commercial team. In steady state operations, this person will be able to work with manufacturers (both contract and owned) to coordinate production timing, physical retail partners on distribution, international freight forwarders on imports, eCommerce platforms on fulfillment, local fulfillment 3PLs for B2B fulfillment, and commercial/sales partners on forecasting, allocation, and capacity planning. 

The Director of Supply Chain – China, reports to the international supply chain leader and will work in close coordination with local commercial teams and partners. 

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day cross-functional planning, fulfillment, order management, and logistics teams in support of local manufacturing and sales
• Develop processes, systems and metrics/KPIS to drive transparency and accountability in the supply Chain function 
• Build and maintain metrics and dashboards to understand supply chain performance
• Drive root cause identification and continuous improvement with these metrics
• Identify and implement technology to support defined order processing and fulfillment processes
• Manage 3rd party fulfillment and logistics partners and ensure SLAs are met
• Lead the identification and onboarding of vendor partners to create distribution and fulfillment capabilities capacity
• Direct and coordinate local supply chain and manufacturing operations functions through strategy, resource optimization, and capacity analysis to support business growth and sales

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of supply chain experience, preferably with highly configurable products.
• Experience working with global companies on international expansion
• Bachelor’s Degree with preference for MBA
• Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to present ideas to a diverse audience, including executive leadership
• Demonstrated ability to lead multiple cross-functional projects.
