Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa is seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to join our team.
Job Description: As a Host/Hostess, you will be responsible for greeting guests, seating them at tables, and ensuring that they have an enjoyable dining experience.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests as they arrive at the restaurant
- Escort guests to their table and provide menus
- Answer questions about menu items and make recommendations
- Ensure all tables are clean and properly set before seating guests
- Maintain seating chart for rotation of stations
- Answer phone properly and follow all reservation procedures
- Follow accurate cash handling and room charge procedures
- Organize and maintain a clean service podium
- Assist with cleaning and closing guides
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Host/Hostess or in a similar role. On the job training
- Excellent communication and guest service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic math and computer skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Maintain an inventory of needed supplies
- Ensure all menus are clean before shift
- Be familiar with hotel facilities and the location hours
Education: Ability to read and write English
Experience: One-year cash handling work experience
Skills and Abilities:
- Communication and hospitality skills (English required)
- Ability to answer phones
- Ability to work with money
Lifting/Pushing/Pulling/Carrying: Limited lifting - 30 lbs. - clearing tables and buffets - pulling tables
Mobility: Continually walking at a fast pace
Continuous Standing: Continually standing 100% of the time

- Monday to Friday
