Seeking an experienced and skilled ServiceNow Principal Architect to help develop, build, and provide solutions for IT and Business processes. This person will work across the organization to help develop high business value solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in architecting, designing and implementing ServiceNow ITSM, CMDB, Sec Ops, WSD, GRC, PA, SPM, HR, CSM and ITOM products. The individual will lead applying knowledge of architecture, enterprise principles and platform delivery governance oversight. Research, evaluate, design, implement, and maintain ServiceNow system and product solutions, in collaboration with other architectural and engineering stakeholders. Provide platforms specific technical direction and engineering support to products delivery teams. Develop and maintain expert knowledge of evolving ServiceNow engineering industry technologies/competition, concepts, and trends aligned with organizational strategy and standards. This role requires a strong understanding of platform specific capabilities and requires the candidate to work closely with key stakeholders and senior technology leaders. He or she will be a technical thought leader for the platform.

- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or the equivalent combination of training, education
- Extensive hands-on experience implementing ServiceNow
- Extensive Hands-On ServiceNow platform architecture experience with additional knowledge of integrated technologies
- Extensive understanding of ServiceNow capabilities and applying the platform to meet business goals
- Advanced knowledge and application of enterprise and solution architecture concepts using the ServiceNow platform
- Strong experience in the ServiceNow platform and proper use of the data model (CSDM).
- Strong experience in architecting, designing and implementing ServiceNow ITSM, CMDB, Sec Ops, WSD, GRC, PA, SPM, HR, CSM and ITOM products.
- Advanced knowledge of engineering disciplines; including operational platform and integration patterns and protocols.
- Expertise in consultative approaches with stakeholders.
- Demonstrable understanding of IT operations and service management practices.
- Experience leading discussions related to ServiceNow implementations of products and data.
- Experience in hybrid operating system environments; Unix, Windows, Network, Cloud, Containers, Serverless.
- Experience with platform planning, testing, and validation.
- Experience with Automated delivery and CI/CD pipelines.
- Advanced organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Advanced skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions.
- Expert verbal and written communication skills.

- Experience with designing and executing platform governance models.

- Apply ServiceNow platform expertise to promote and guide business solutions.
- Supports the definition, guardrails, and execution of the ServiceNow technical governance, architecture Review and Design Review processes.
- Drive standardization and best practices for the effective operations of ServiceNow platform architectural model to drive value delivery.
- Works closely with the ServiceNow platform owner, engineering, and delivery teams to achieve organizational outcomes with well architected solutions on ServiceNow platform.
- Coach and apply technical standards with service and operational partners and product owners.
- Provide architecture leadership, and mentorship of ServiceNow platform concepts and develop reusable architecture and integration patterns that can be leveraged across multiple projects.
- Provides and coordinates technical evaluation of demand against platform architecture, capabilities, and practices, including considerations for integration, performance, and security.
- Design solutions and solution alternatives, effectively solicit, and incorporate feedback, and present options to all levels of leadership.
- Present clear, organized, and concise information to all audiences through a variety of media to enable effective business decisions; ability to communicate across the organization at all levels.
- Ensure the security and integrity of system and product solutions including compliance with Navy Federal, industry, architecture and information security principles and practices.
- Promotes adherence to Navy Federal’s defined Project Management Framework and documentation requirements.
- Architecture Governance:
- Provides guidance and adhere to defined enterprise standards, application and architecture principles.
- Performs application design reviews of existing and new applications by considering performance, scalability, and business continuity.
- Approves design documentation produced by project team, conduct code review sessions, and provides feedback.
