Department: Shipping and Receiving
Reports To: Warehouse Operations Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join a dynamic team. This role is primarily responsible for handling shipping documentation, ensuring all processes are completed accurately and in a timely manner. The Shipping Clerk will process orders, manage packaging and labeling, and verify that all product information aligns with customer orders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use designated software to post outbound deliveries.
- Ensure product serial and batch numbers are correct.
- Prepare and issue LTL (Less-than-Truckload) bill of ladings.
- Process orders in the "Pick Stage" for shipment.
- Provide administrative support to the Shipping Department as needed.
- Respond to internal and external email inquiries related to shipping orders.
- Organize and maintain shipping paperwork for tracking and reference.
- Address internal questions regarding order progress through shipping stages.
- Maintain and update necessary reports and spreadsheets.
- Ensure all shipping documents and processes remain organized.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping or logistics.
- Some experience with forklifts is preferred.
- Proficiency in using office equipment and software, including Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and external partners.
