Maintenance Mechanic

1st shift Monday - Friday 6:00am - 3:30pm

$41.70 - $51.73 BOE

Direct Hire

Summary:

Perform general maintenance work to maintain structures, electrical systems, facilities equipment, heating and cooling systems and plumbing systems, etc.

Perform minor building repairs, troubleshoot electrical systems, replace electrical components, motor controls, fuses and lighting equipment. Operate and maintain HVAC systems. Do fitting and aligning of precision mechanisms, drives, bearings, etc. Layout and installation of machine tools and operating equipment.

Required:

• HS Ed, GED
• 5-10 years general manufacturing/facility maintenance experience.
• Prompt, reliable attendance required.
• Ability to work on holidays during plant shutdowns.
• Ability to be on call as needed for emergencies after hours.
• Routine repair projects are performed under general supervision. Guidance and/or immediate supervision is provided on critical or extensive repair projects such as rebuilding injection molding presses, etc.
• Diagnose and remedy operating problems; disassemble, inspect and overhaul injection molding machine components. Assist higher classified Mechanic(s) in correcting machine operating problems. Confer with higher classified Mechanics or Supervisor on the need for repairs and/or replacement parts.
