We are looking for a skilled individual for our client's warehouse in Durham, NC. The Warehouse Operations Associate is responsible for supporting pressroom activities by managing material inventory, maintaining accurate documentation, entering product data, and ensuring efficient workflow within the warehosue. The Warehouse Operations Associate role requires strong computer skills for data entry, record-keeping, and reporting, as well as the ability to assist with shipping and receiving activites as needed. The ideal Warehouse Operations Associate candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Please Note, this position has a day and night shift rotating schedule.

Responsibilities:

Data Entry & Documentation:

  • Accurately input and update inventory and product information into company databases or ERP systems.
  • Maintain detailed records of production metrics, material usage, and equipment performance.
  • Generate reports on inventory management, warehouse efficiency, and productivity.
  • Ensure documentation is organized, up to date, and easily accessible for team members.

Pressroom Support & Workflow Coordination:

  • Assist in monitoring pressroom operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to production schedules.
  • Communicate with press operators and supervisors to record production issues or quality concerns.
  • Support inventory tracking of raw materials, inks, and pressroom supplies.
  • Assist with scheduling and coordinating maintenance activities to minimize downtime.

Quality Control & Compliance:

  • Ensure accurate logging of quality control checks and deviations in production.
  • Help maintain compliance with safety and operational protocols by documenting procedures.
  • Support audits and inspections by providing necessary production and equipment records.

Technical & Computer Skills:

  • Utilize manufacturing software, ERP systems, or Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) for data entry and reporting.
  • Operate barcode scanners, printers, and digital record-keeping systems to track pressroom activities.
  • Troubleshoot minor data entry or system issues and escalate technical problems when needed.

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Various Shifts Available)

Skills:

  • Experience using ERP or manufacturing software for data entry.
  • Basic understanding of pressroom machinery and production processes.
  • Knowledge of quality control and safety standards in a pressroom environment.
  • Willingness to operate industrial machinery such as press machines or forklifts (training provided)
  • Willingness to offer hands-on assistance in other departments such as the shipping/receiving dock
  • Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to complete routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively within and outside of the department.
  • Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Reasoning Ability - Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Knowledge of computer software.
  • Mechanical Ability - Ability to complete complete minor repairs on the finishing line equipment.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Desire to learn and complete training levels.
  • Ability to work on a team with minimal supervision.
  • Must not be afraid to get dirty due to heavy clean-up of ink and dust debris.
  • Ability to work a 12 hour rotating shift with overtime requirements.
