Inviting applications for the role of Principal consultant- Quality Assurance (QA)

We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Principal Consultant for our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in automation testing, coding, and a solid understanding of QA methodologies. You will play a pivotal role in leading QA efforts, collaborating with global teams, and driving the development of efficient and effective automation frameworks for testing across various platforms.

Responsibilities 

  • Lead the automation testing efforts across various projects, ensuring the quality and performance of software products.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain automation test scripts and frameworks in languages such as Core Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Perform UI automation using tools such as Selenium or Cypress to validate front-end functionality and interactions.
  • Conduct API testing using tools such as Rest-Assured or JMeter to ensure robust and scalable backend services.
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement and improve testing strategies and ensure integration of automation tests within the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Design and implement automation frameworks using tools like Concordion (TDD) or Gherkin-Cucumber (BDD) for behavior-driven development (BDD) and test-driven development (TDD).
  • Analyze SQL queries and perform database testing to validate data integrity across various databases.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, design testing plans, and ensure smooth execution of test activities in an Agile environment.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  • Continuously research and apply best practices in automation testing to improve efficiency and test coverage.
  • Communicate test results, defects, and issues clearly and effectively with development teams and stakeholders.

  • Valid years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance, with a focus on automation testing.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Core Java, Python, or JavaScript) with the ability to develop test scripts and frameworks.
  • Strong experience in UI automation testing using Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools.
  • Expertise in API testing using automation tools such as Rest-Assured or JMeter.
  • Strong SQL skills with experience in querying and validating databases.
  • Experience with automation frameworks like Concordion (TDD) and Gherkin-Cucumber (BDD).
  • In-depth understanding of Agile Methodology and experience working in Agile teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with global teams.
  • Self-driven with a strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and practices.
  • Bachelor's/master’s degree from a top tier university 

Preferred qualifications 

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously 
  • Critical thinking and translation of business needs into technical requirements 
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills and listening skills 
  • Good interpersonal and consultative skill 
  • Excellent defect root cause analysis skills and problem-solving
