Job Summary:

As a Research Associate Intern in the S&T Ingredients Discovery team in the Fragrance Division, you will have a unique opportunity to learn fragrance chemistry and contribute to the development of new fragrance molecules. This internship will provide hands-on experience in conducting organic reactions, purifying and measuring molecules, documenting experimental data, evaluating odorants, testing molecule performance, and understanding the structure-odor relationship of molecules. Additionally, you will gain insights into the needs of the fragrance industry.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct organic reactions under specific requirements.
• Perform purification and measurement of molecules.
• Document experimental data, observations, and conclusions.
• Evaluate the odorants of the molecules.
• Test the performance of the molecules in various applications.
• Learn to understand the structure-odor relationship of molecules.
• Gain an understanding of the needs of the fragrance industry.

Qualifications:

• A PhD student in organic chemistry or medicinal chemistry or a master student with at least one-year lab synthesis experience.
• Possess excellent experimental skills in organic synthesis and a profound chemistry background.
• Demonstrate good knowledge and adherence to safety practices in an organic laboratory setting.
• Experience in analysis techniques such as NMR and GC-MS, as well as organic purification technology.
• Proficiency in MS Office, CS ChemOffice (ChemDraw), and Scifinder.
• Exhibit an open, constructive, and team player mindset, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Compensation:

180-200 RMB per day
