Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the billing and revenue processes for government contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other federal regulations.
- Prepare and submit invoices in accordance with contract terms, including Cost-Plus, Time & Materials, and Fixed-Price contracts.
- Monitor accounts receivable and ensure timely collection of payments from government agencies and subcontractors.
- Reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve invoice disputes with clients and internal departments.
- Maintain accurate revenue recognition practices in accordance with GAAP and ASC 606 standards.
- Collaborate with contract management and finance teams to ensure compliance with contract modifications and funding adjustments.
- Prepare reports for senior management on billing status, revenue forecasts, and cash flow analysis.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reconciliations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in billing and revenue management.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in billing and revenue management, preferably within government contracting.
- Strong knowledge of government contract types, invoicing requirements, and compliance regulations.
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, or similar government accounting software.
- Familiarity with DCAA compliance and federal reporting requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion and professionalism.
