Salary Range: $125,000.00 To $135,000.00 Annually

Overview

Emerald is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to provide transformational project leadership for Emerald’s financial and data systems that includes but not limited to Hyperion Planning, Epicor ERP, Zuora billing and revenue, and/or related financial systems, as well as AWS/Databricks and Power BI. In addition, this role will lead acquisition integration projects at times as it relates to said systems and processes.

As a Technical Project Manager, you will lead projects from project kickoff through closeout, following Emerald’s PMO best practices, as well as contribute to the continuous improvement of our PMO. You will manage the project scope, schedule, costs, vendors, and risk in cross functional teams, delivering results on time and on budget. You will coordinate and run project team meetings and provide regular communication on project deliverables, while mitigating risks and keeping the team on track. You must have the ability to learn and understand Emerald’s business processes and multiple transactional systems. This role will be responsible for managing 2-3 significant projects at a time with some overlap, with strengths in detail orientation, multitasking, vendor management and communication at all levels of the business. Understanding/experience in Agile methodology is a plus.

This position will interact heavily with key business, finance and technical teams across Emerald. The Technical Project Manager must possess the ability to effectively negotiate expectations, manage time and lead multiple projects to meet deadlines.

This position may be performed remotely or from any one of our Emerald office locations

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional team effort in gathering/defining project requirements and providing thought leadership into scope definition and change management
  • Collaborate with internal departments to orchestrate the successful delivery of technical projects from initial discovery and planning through design, implementation, test and delivery of the solution
  • Build and manage complex project plans, leveraging PMO best practices and artifacts, including project charters, RAID logs, RACI charts, requirements, user stories, milestone lists, stakeholder registers, Gannt charts, status reports, lessons learned registers, test plans, and project kickoff and closeout presentations to manage complex technology projects
  • Work with IT operations teams through our change management process, to develop, deploy, and seamlessly transition solutions to the support organization
  • Developing solutions to complex problems, as needed, ensuring that solutions are consistent with organization practices, and reviewing recommended solutions with the manager and project leadership
  • Document current processes and controls, new system requirements, and the creation of applicable testing scenarios for enhancements and system updates
  • Interpret, detail, and ensure approval is captured for all business requirements submitted on change requests

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in implementing IT systems in finance, accounting, and data
  • Excellent communication, change management, and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience with Hyperion Planning, Epicor ERP, Zuora Billing and Revenue Recognition, AWS/Databricks and Power BI is preferred
  • Experience with Relational Databases is preferred
  • Advanced project management and organizational skills are required
  • Knowledge of SaaS and vendor-hosted systems and implementations, with experience in implementing and supporting Cloud-based systems is required
  • Experienced in integration capabilities development, such as API/web services and bulk data integration
  • Hands-on experience in ERP system implementation/upgrade, knowledge of general accounting principles, process improvement, and automation skills is preferred
  • Having worked at a public company or experience in a highly regulated and dynamic industry is preferred
  • Ability to effectively negotiate expectations, manage time and multiple projects to meet deadlines
  • Ability to communicate technical information to senior management

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Target Compensation: $ 125,000-$135,000 (Bonus Eligible)

Please note that this range reflects a reasonable estimate of the target compensation for this position. This range may ultimately vary based on a candidate’s qualifications and may be higher where required by applicable law.
