Main responsibilities

Global Key Account Management and Sales ASEAN

  1. Relationship Management: Direct responsible for key account management at Unicharm (whole corporate group and DSG in ASEAN) and all Japanese transplant customers in ASEAN, prioritizing and providing supports required for business development with close collaboration with all related teams.
  2. Account Planning: Establish mid-long term (at least 5 years) business account plan for Global Key Customer – Unicharm and responsible regional accounts ensuring customer’s requirements are fulfilled and achieving business targets for each account accordingly to agreed timeline, consistent and correct implementation of agreed strategies, policies and practices such as pricing, product portfolio and market management/development for those accounts.
  3. Pricing and negotiation:
  4. Lead preparation of pricing proposal for approval process according to CPE pricing policies and mechanism with close collaboration with Global Marketing team
  5. Lead price negotiation with respective accounts, ensuring business deals as planned achieving top-line business results.
  6. Lead and monitor the implementation of pricing policies, transfer prices/ margins by monthly consolidating and analyzing implemented market prices of each individual market in ASEAN. Identify any unusual findings and report to supervisor with background information.
  7. Innovation: Develop in-depth understanding of customer’s requirements, identify unmet needs and drive for product innovation opportunities. Work closely with both Global and Regional R&D team in driving new product development project(s) that lead fulfilment of respective customer’s requirements. Lead evaluation of customer’s requirement and expectations ensuring product development projects align with those requirements/expectations assuring high success rate of new product launch.
  8. Monitoring and reporting
  9. Structure and monitor the results of the sales and distribution channels with related team, especially product management and supply chain teams in global / region/ local, taking into consideration of the agreed strategies/ KPIs (key performance indicators), to help optimize the profit margins and market shares at key accounts.
  10. Lead problem solving (e.g., customer complaints, etc.) at responsible accounts ensuring timely response to the customers by close coordination with related teams, such as R&D, Technical Service, QA, Logistics/supply chain and production, assuring highest customer satisfaction.
  11. New business development: Lead new business development with Japanese transplant customers as well as other assigned regional accounts in ASEAN. Identify target customers according to CPE business strategy to balance long-term customer portfolio for ASEAN aiming to achieve BU targets.
  12. Market intelligence
  13. Consolidate and analyze market intelligence (e.g. price and cost developments, product competitiveness, industry segments and customers) and competitive information (competitors’ market positions, pricing, strategies, strengths and weaknesses) to initially forecast market trends and customer requirements and prepare for marketing countermeasures to support efficient business decision making.
  14. Lead Global BU market survey initiative for ASEAN at least once a year, ensuring accuracy and transparency of related information to all parties.
  15. Closely work as counterpart of ASEAN team to BU and regional marketing team to support the market and competitor analysis, deepening and sharing the knowledge on cultural aspects, characteristics and divers of Japanese companies.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Chemistry, Science or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of job experience in Sales/Marketing or Key Account Management.
  • Customer focus driven is a must.
  • Good interpersonal skills and be able to work in large and complex environment.
  • Fluent in communication skills in English and Japanese.
  • Good project management and practices.
