Job DescriptionDome Operations is seeking temporary event production / operations staff to work on an as needed basis for various events and event changeovers.

As a member of the Dome Operations team, you will be a part of the crew that sets up and breaks down Dome events, including football and basketball games, special events such as major concerts, Monster Jam, and many more. You will also have the opportunity to return year after year, as many of our team members have been with the Dome for over 30 years.

  • Education and Experience
  • Team members must be capable of following instructions and working well within groups to accomplish set tasks.
  • Applicants must be flexible and able to work events and event changeovers that take place nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Skills and Knowledge 

  • Assist with game / event preparations including changeovers of the arena floor and event configurations.
  • Set up and break down tables, chairs, stages, pipe / drape, and other items that vary from event to event.
  • On occasion assist with building maintenance and cleaning as needed for events.

Responsibilities 

  • Assist with game / event day preparations to include setting up basketball courts, furniture and event day signage.
  • Assist with event changeovers, work in teams under direction of the Event Operations Manager.

Physical Requirements 

  • Must be able to work in conditions of extreme heat and extreme cold, both inside the facility and outside.
  • Will be required, at times, to work outside in inclement weather conditions.
  • Must be able to repeatedly lift at least 50 lbs. to waist height or higher.
  • Must be able to push/pull at least 75 pounds.
  • Must be able to walk for several hours at a time throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to stand for several hours at a time.
  • Must be able to perform extensive bending and flexing at the waist.
  • Must be able to repeatedly rotate (twist and turn) head and torso.
  • Must be able to frequently and repeatedly squat or stoop to the ground as necessary to complete tasks.
  • Must be able to reach arms overhead.
  • Must be able to repeatedly lift up overhead and lift down from overhead items of at least 45 pounds overhead.
  • Must be able to work in extremely dusty or dirty environment.
  • Must be able to hear and respond to equipment notification beepers, horns and bells, as well as verbally communicate with other staff.
  • Must be able to walk and carry items up and down stairs and ramps.
  • May be exposed to products used for cleaning and maintenance of the facility.

Tools/Equipment 

  • PPE will be provided and required to wear.
  • The specifics will be based on job duties.
