We are proud to be launching a new state-of-the-art technology facility in Dublin, Ireland. The Dublin-based team will play a critical role in our continued digital transformation and will function as a center of excellence for SiriusXM’s global Product and Technology organization.

SiriusXM’s new Dublin facility will comprise a workforce primarily focused on software development, automotive technology and engineering, AdTech, data science, and analytics. Talent based in the new technology hub will be charged with developing and implementing best-in-class standards for high-quality, scalable software deliveries for SiriusXM’s streaming and in-vehicle audio entertainment platforms. SiriusXM offers highly competitive benefits at our Dublin office, including a monthly day off on the first Friday of every month.

How you’ll make an impact:

This is a Senior Software Engineer position within our Client Software Engineering organization. This role will work on iOS based client software for our SiriusXM and Pandora products. As a member of our Client Software Engineering team, you will have the opportunity to improve the Pandora and SiriusXM experiences to the millions of customers we serve. You will get the chance to take on complex and interesting problems as part of a fast-paced, highly collaborative team. We hold ourselves to high standards and take pride in our work. What you’ll do:

• Develop innovative enhancements and new features for our existing Pandora and SiriusXM applications
• Facilitate the troubleshooting of pre- and post-production issues
• Participate in code-reviews as part of a much larger team
• Be familiar with the overall software stack and the software components of the applications we build, and always be looking for ways to improve
• Participate in your team’s software development coding standards, code review, and all documentation as it applies to software development of the platforms you work on
• Participate in the Agile development process for client development
• Keep fully aware of the industry evolution, new technologies, and evolution of client application or web frameworks

What you’ll need:

• A strong interest in collaborating via code reviews and technical discussions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects
• Demonstrated ability to mentor other engineers
• A growth mindset and an ability to learn quickly
• 6+ years of experience developing Client Software for iOS based platforms
• Experience with MVVM, UDF, and other modern design patterns
• Experience with web services (consuming or creating)
• Ability to effectively work cross-functionally with other teams
• Familiarity with your platform’s human interface guidelines and best practices for UI/UX in mobile apps
• Understanding of security best practices, data privacy, and relevant app store guidelines
• Knowledge of writing unit tests and UI tests, along with test-driven development (TDD) principles
• Experience with CI/CD environments like GitHub Actions, fastlane, and/or Gradle
• Experience with implementing native apps for iOS using the latest Apple features and technologies including Xcode and Instruments
• Experience with Swift, SwiftUI, Swift Concurrency, and other foundational Apple frameworks
• Nice to have: Experience with AVFoundation and StoreKit
• Nice to have: Experience with watchOS, tvOS and/or CarPlay
• Nice to have: Interest in modern open source iOS projects like TCA and Nuke
