The Assistant Director of Quality Management for the Upstate Transplant Center, assesses, plans, implements, and develops a coordinated, inter-disciplinary, Quality Management Program. The incumbent will report to the Upstate Transplant Administrator and collaborates with physician leadership, Assistant Director of Nursing, and operations leadership. This position will coordinate and direct enhancement of the Transplant Program by broadening the quality and data analytics focus to solidify a positive impact on the overall program operations. Responsible for directing the program's strategic and quality focuses that encompasses innovative efforts, EMR optimization, maximization of QAPI elements, meeting UNOS regulatory requirements, OPTN, CMS, DNV survey readiness and survey performance improvement action plans. Provides oversight of data analytics as it relates to Transplant Quality. Supervises and develops employees and creates and develops policies in close collaboration with Administrator, Assistant Directors of Nursing, physician leadership and operations leadership.
Master's degree in healthcare administration and 3 years of related experience, to include experience with clinical databases, data analysis, and quality improvement initiatives required. Supervisory experience required. Excellent written/oral communication, organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and computer skills required. Must have the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
Experience with quality management preferred. CPHQ preferred.
