JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary
Under the direction of a Tooling Supervisor, the Tool and Die Maker is responsible for repairing dies and making adjustments as needed to run dies in accordance with the customers’ standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Tool and Die Maker must be able to troubleshoot conditions in a production setting
- Perform die set operations
- Perform preventative maintenance on metal stamping dies
- Perform quality checks
- Perform other duties as required
- Tool and Die Maker must complete all required and applicable training required by Adient and its customers.
Qualifications
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in a sheet metal stamping facility or similar experience
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience with large transfer and progressive dies
- Able to lift 40 lbs. frequently depending upon rework
- Standing 8 or more hours, walking to assist in seat build, rework, etc.
Preferred:
- Journeyman Tool and Die Card from the Department of Labor
