Position Title: Access Assistant II (Temporary, Part-Time, up to 19.5 hours per week)

Department: Access & Disability Resources - West Campus

Rate of Pay: $16.00/hour

Closed Date: April 24, 2025, 5:00 PM Arizona Time

Position Summary:

The Access Assistant I provides instructional access across learning environments for a student with a disability. Duties may include support across academic settings, to include manipulation of learning materials, providing aid in clinical settings, offering support at the request of the accommodated student, or upon the request of the instructor or clinical supervisor.

The work schedule for this position is flexible and may include working evenings, weekends and assignment to multiple campuses with travel may be required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Production of accessible materials including notes
• Description of overhead screens, videos and demonstrations
• Read/scribe exams and in class written assignments
• Assistance with library research; computer access
• Assistance with classroom work (physical academic tasks)
• Manipulating equipment and materials including textbooks or communication boards as needed
• Transcribing notes
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED) and
• Experience using computers, and navigating software’s and
• Valid driver’s license

or

• An equivalent combination of certification, education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above
