Position: Senior Application Developer - Cloud

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Senior Developer to join our high-performance team in the Analytics segment within the Data Fabric Decision Science Alliance. You will be responsible for developing cloud-native platforms, designing strategic solutions, and leading key initiatives in high-impact systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop cloud-native platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
2. Provide technical guidance, oversee, and review code written by other team members.
3. Perform unit testing, deployments in development environments, and technical documentation.
4. Design and implement new features for existing and new GCP platforms.
5. Apply security controls during implementation.
6. Automate deployments as part of the road to production.

Required Qualifications:

1. 6+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
2. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
3. Conversational English proficiency (both verbal and written communication)
4. Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
5. Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools such as Git, GitHub, Jenkins, Nexus, Maven.
6. Experience developing scripts in Python, including unit testing with Pytest.
7. Experience creating Jenkins pipelines using Groovy scripts.
8. Experience deploying cloud resources using Terraform.
9. Experience in monitoring and troubleshooting GCP resources.

Nice to Have:

1. Experience leading teams of 3-5 collaborators.
2. GCP certifications.
3. Knowledge of Kubernetes, Istio, Helm.
4. Experience with Jupyter tools (JupyterHub, JupyterLab, Jupyter Notebook).
5. Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
