Job Title: Digital Platforms Assistant Department: Marketing and Communications Student Employment Type: Federal Work Study Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain project status for online stories created for the website and social media channels, gathering marketing content and liaising with students, staff and faculty.
- Conduct interviews for written stories and then write stories
- Build articles in the university’s content management system
- Oversee event marketing communications projects with university staff and channel owners.
- In collaboration with other departments, assist in the development and distribution of university newsletters
- Conduct competitive analyses and online marketing research
- Complete special projects with minimal supervision
- Create digital signage
Qualifications:
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with individuals across the department, and University, including students, staff and faculty
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of content management systems, optional
- Provide sample of social media portfolio
- Provide sample of writing portfolio
- Ability to work nights and weekends
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Highly organized, detail-oriented and reliable
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Hours of Position:
- Standard work hours with some nights and weekends
