Warehouse Associate - DAY SHIFT 4x10 - Monday-Thursday

Spherion is seeking reliable Warehouse Associates for DAY shift positions at our client site in Spartanburg. The right candidate will have a solid work history with reliable transportation and consistent attendance. You will work 10-hour shifts from 7:00am-5:30pm on Monday-Thursday, with a 30-minute Lunch........four 10-hr shifts/week.

Pay Rate: $17.00/hour (Paid weekly)

Job Purpose:

Perform daily Shipping & Receiving tasks, including loading and unloading trucks, moving pallets, stacking pallets and boxes, scanning, etc., in a distribution center environment. NO FORKLIFT experience needed.

Responsibilities:

Utilize computerized warehouse management systems (WMS) and radio frequency (RF) scanners to process all bar-coded products

Identify and communicate exceptions to the leadership team

Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Flexibility to train and work in multiple areas

Contribute to maintaining a safe and orderly working environment

Identify, report, and follow up on any property damage or safety concerns

Other duties as assigned

Inbound/Outbound Distribution personnel

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM (Various Shifts Available)

Skills:

Basic computer skills such as internet, Windows, ability to use a mouse and/or touchscreen

Ability to communicate both verbally and written in English

Basic math skills

Ability to read, write, count and distinguish colors

Good communication skills

Ability to use equipment, including but not limited to, box knife, RF scanner, manual and power pallet jacks

No Forklift required

Regularly required to talk, hear; sit, stand and/or walk; use fingers, hands, arms and feet to feel, handle, grip, grasp, lift, operate, push, pull, bend, and/or twist for up to ten (10) hours/day

Occasionally required to stoop, kneel and/or crouch

Occasionally lift and carry items such as boxes weighing up to fifty (50) pounds

Ability to work safely on elevated surfaces (2nd level mezzanine)

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Required to speak, read, write and comprehend the English language

Drug Screens and Background Checks will be completed
