SUMMARY OF POSITION: 

Safely and efficiently operates various types of welding equipment to make parts at-rate and accurately to print. Will learn and perform setup tasks for resistance welders to company standards under the direction of Setup Technicians. Will train and provide guidance to new Weld Equipment Setup Operators and Weld Equipment Operators.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

• Operate equipment welders, including resistance welders and robotic welders, safely and effectively to meet standard rates
• Perform the setup process for resistance welders, Pemserters and assembly equipment, to ensure jobs can be run safely and at-rate to company standards
• Adhere to defined quality procedures to ensure quality welds through visual inspection techniques
• Accurately record labor, inventory, tooling and production job data in ERP system
• Performs basic material handling duties with the use of carts and pallet jacks to move material and tooling
• Maintain equipment thru weekly preventative maintenance tasks and submit timely maintenance work orders
• Will provide direction to Weld Equipment Operators during run, as well as train new Equipment Weld Setup Operators
• Must be able to perform all the duties of a Weld Equipment Operator
• Other duties as assigned or required
