Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Weapons Systems Senior Engineer (GRP3) at Eglin AFB, FL.

This position provides direct acquisition program systems and other engineering support as a key team member supporting USAF Weapons Systems Program Office (SPO) activities, specifically the program chief engineer, on Eglin AFB, FL. The successful candidate will interface and coordinate with multiple government leads and prime and other contractors within the USAF AFMC AFLCMC/EBI Program Office and enterprise.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Government and Prime Contractor engineers in the development and review of Systems Engineering design artifacts and products to support the EBI Program Chief Engineer.
• Provide senior consultation and technical leadership in program TIMs, IPTs and Working Groups as needed and directed.
• Assess developmental weapons systems design and readiness for progression through the product lifecycle by conducting or supporting systems engineering technical review (SETR) processes.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems engineering plus 15 or more years of experience in USAF Weapons Program Office support
• Certifications in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML and minimum of 5 years of experience
• Experience working with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) or similar.
• Ability to interact and communicate in a professional manner with senior military and government leadership
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• TS/SCI clearance required.

• Masters degree in Systems Engineering (or related field) plus 12 years of practical USAF Weapons development experience
• ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP certification
• Ability to secure a TS/SCI
