The Division of Immunology and Rheumatology has a longstanding tradition of excellence in patient care and is among the leading groups in the School of Medicine in cutting edge bench research, clinical trial investigation and outcomes assessment research.
The Good Lab at the Stanford University School of Medicine is seeking a talented and motivated Life Science Research Professional 1 to advance T cell immunotherapies for cancer and autoimmune diseases leveraging cutting-edge cell engineering technologies. As part of a multidisciplinary group, you will design and construct DNA sequences for cellular engineering experiments, isolate and culture primary human immune cells, and perform functional analysis of engineered cells via flow cytometry and co-culture assays.
Additional major responsibilities will include assessing engineered T cells and other immunotherapies in mouse models of cancer and autoimmune diseases using bioluminescence imaging, peripheral blood and lymphoid organ analysis by flow cytometry, and disease scoring. A successful candidate will have a degree in immunology or related field. Previous laboratory experience in T cell engineering and mouse models of cancer and/or autoimmune diseases is highly desired, including I.V. and I.P. injections, blood, lymph node, spleen, and bone marrow isolation and analysis, and disease assessment. Additional experience with cloning, viral vector design and production, T cell cytotoxicity and suppression assays, ELISA, and high-parameter flow cytometry is highly desirable. This position represents an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to advanced genome engineering technologies in a dynamic research environment with an opportunity to impact patient outcomes.

The expected pay range for this position is $31.40 to $38.89 per hour.
