About the Client:
Express Employment is working with a local equipment rental company.
About the Position:
This position would encompass all vehicles with a focus on diesel mechanics for construction and other equipment. A diesel mechanic plays a crucial role in keeping diesel-powered vehicles and equipment operating efficiently and safely.
Job Description/ Responsibilities:
Run diagnostic tests and analyze results
Repair or replace vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems
Determine unit condition by conducting inspections & diagnostic tests, identifying deficiencies
Inspect diesel engine components, such as fuel systems, exhaust systems, cooling systems, and transmissions, for signs of wear, damage, or malfunction
Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications; make necessary adjustments if required
Ensure all repairs and maintenance tasks meet industry standards and manufacturer specifications for quality and safety
Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance procedures, and parts inventory using computerized systems or manual logs
Ensure the cleanliness of the shop
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in diesel mechanics preferred.
Certification from a recognized diesel mechanic program or relevant work experience preferred or equivalent work experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with diagnostic tools, such as computerized diagnostic software and engine analyzers.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
Excellent attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record may be required.
Commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations

Compensation:
$25.00-$30.00 plus per hour depending on experience
