Amazon is seeking a Senior System Development Engineer to support the Amazon Logistics WW Central Engineering engineering team. This individual will have a primary focus on the design of industrial control panels and complex electrical systems, including: layouts, schematics, BOM and wire schedules as well as supporting control system software development. This Senior System Development Engineer will contribute to all aspects of an agile systems development life cycle including design, architecture, development, documentation, testing and operations. This position will be responsible for designing, managing and executing the next generation of delivery station processes, equipment, and operations. This is a unique opportunity to own new innovative projects that will advance the intelligence of our last mile business.

A day in the life
Your work is very hands-on and multi-disciplinary. You will be working closely with vendors, cross-functional engineers, and project teams. You lead design reviews, ensure electrical code & standards compliance, maintain/update electrical work SOP documents, support control code (Codesys and AB PLC) reviews, develop check list & test plan, demonstrate proof-of-concepts, build prototypes, and manage stakeholder expectations.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
