2nd Shift CNC Set-Up Operator
Contract-to-Hire
Location: Waukesha
Pay Rate: $25.00-30.00 (depending on experience) 15% shift bonus
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2:30pm to 11:00pm

Brief Job Description:
As a CNC Setup Operator you will be responsible in the first step of the fabrication process setting up and operating computer numeric controlled HAAS milling and router machines. In addition, this position provides one-on-one guidance and feedback to other operators and model ethics, positivity, and consistently displays the values and culture.
- Operate and set up various fabrication equipment that includes HAAS CNC Mills, Routers, Amada Turret Punches, Cincinnati Press Brake, and Schelling Panel Saws.
- Follow program setup sheets and setup Flat, Vise, Angle Plate, and Vacuum Hold down work.
- Perform multiple adjustments as needed to tooling, speeds/feeds, edit programs and set up machine parameters to ensure optimal machining performance.
- Manufacture complex parts according to customer orders per instructions written on work orders and blue prints.
- Perform manual fabrication operations as required.
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements following manufacturer's instructions, and troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs to incoming shift personnel.
- Documents actions by completing Work Order production and quality logs.
- Accomplishes enterprise goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; contributing to continuous improvement efforts and using lean manufacturing principles.
- Constantly exploring opportunities to add value to production and continually looking for areas to improve.
Qualifications:
- Advanced math, measuring, and blueprint reading skills required.
- High attention to detail.
- Minimum 3-5 years in the operation and set up of CNC equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with HAAS Control, Fanuc Control & Amada equipment a plus.
- Solid understanding of G & M codes, able to read and troubleshoot programs at the machine.
- High school diploma or GED with prior hands-on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experience is required.
