Responsibilities
Job Summary
The Manager – IT Applications is responsible to empower our community through the continuous development, deployment, integration and support of vendor proprietary enterprise application software. This position manages the application teams that support the software necessary to run clinical, financial, or business systems within a large integrated health system. The Manager – IT Applications fosters strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
This position is responsible for department daily operations, including the management, maintenance, upgrade and enhancement of the enterprise systems such that they meet performance and availability standards. The Manager – IT Applications manages team resources for ongoing monitoring of existing systems and implementations. This position is also responsible for partnering with customer stakeholders to objectively evaluate and prioritize a large volume of work requests and effectively manage resources to achieve team deliverables and goals. In addition, the Manager – IT Applications assists with the development and management of operating and capital budgets for the department.
The Manager – IT Applications is responsible for human resource procedures, including justification requests for new positions, filling vacancies, corrective action, and staff advancement. This position is responsible to ensure staff have the skills and training necessary to perform their roles, provide leadership and guidance and assist with growth and development.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Business, Information Systems (IS), Computer Science, or related field Required
Experience
5 years of healthcare, consulting, or IT related experience that demonstrates an advanced understanding of the standard tools, workflow processes, and/or procedures and concepts used in the deployment and development of application software necessary to run the healthcare systems business, clinical or financial systems. Required
2 years of leadership or supervisory experience. Required
