Monitor the supply of paper, ink, and other consumables, ensuring materials are loaded into the press correctly and there is no disruption in the production process.
Quickly identify and resolve issues such as ink distribution problems, paper jams, or mechanical malfunctions to minimize downtime.
Maintain accurate production records, including job specifications, machine settings, and any adjustments made during the print run. Record any issues or maintenance performed.
Follow job tickets and customer specifications to ensure the final product meets all required details, including color matching, paper type, and finishing instructions.
Adhere to all safety protocols and operational guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment and proper handling of equipment and materials.
Requirements
Proven experience as a sheetfed press operator including the ability to operate and adjust sheetfed printing presses to produce high-quality results.
In-depth knowledge of sheetfed printing presses, including their mechanics, settings, and adjustments.
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent attention to detail, especially in color matching and print registration.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
