In Group Operations, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.
Responsibilities
- Assist Executive Director, Head of International Centre (IC) Operations in:
- Governance, managing risk & control landscape and oversight responsibilities for the 8 ICs
- Facilitating regionalization and standardization of projects for timely delivery
- Staff engagement with ICsT&O teams
- Work in close partnership with Regional Operations teams and ICs T&O teams on standardization of processes and system solution
- Ensure constant engagement with ICs T&O teams to explain Head Office initiatives, understand challenges from the locations and work with various stakeholders to resolve road blocks
- Drive and guide the locations on operational risk management to ensure consistency in risk and control standards, governance structure and oversight framework
- Work with the ICs T&O on managing risk events/errors, review operations metrics, KRI and management reports submitted by the locations
- Work with Regional Operations and Tech teams on regional projects impacting ICs
Requirements
- Degree holder with at least 8 years of experience in a banking operations environment, ideally in a Risk & Control role
- Experience in Institutional Banking Group Operations products (i.e. trade finance, corporate loan) is preferred
- Strong control mindset, with an eye for detail and ability to sieve out key issues and root causes for escalation
- Strong ability to deliver under tight deadlines and ability to work under pressure
- Positive and proactive attitude to lead and to get things done
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Team player with strong collaborative attitude
- Able to work with Operations teams in different geographies and timezones
