Accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas or service delivery areas. Leads and directs a team of professionals. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. External communication will be necessary. Accountable for the end results of an area. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area. Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval. May also independently lead or directly supports more experienced team members on small to large-scale or complex initiatives or requests, as well as strategically important short-term engagements that deliver business outcomes. Manages projects affecting one or more services or functional areas or a smaller portion of a larger program. May support larger strategic program initiatives working under the direction of management. Supports the development of capabilities in Portfolio and Project Management, including scope definition, process improvement, workshop facilitation, organizational change management, performance measurement, and customer experience. The role develops detailed project plans and manages all implementation processes including resource allocation, progress tracking, monitoring change control process, testing, documentation, training and on-time delivery within budget constraints. This roles serves as a mentor to junior members of the team, as well as provides advisement to partners on Portfolio and Project Management.
Lead Project & Portfolio Management team members in execution of projects.
Lead delivery of portfolio and project management processes including but not limited to ideation, work intake, prioritization, initiation, planning, execution, reporting and monitoring, and closure to ensure projects and/or portfolio run effectively and smoothly. Support education of stakeholders on portfolio and project management to ensure accountability and adherence to the processes.
Lead portfolio and project planning processes, including communication of value, risk management, capacity planning, performance, optimization, and governance.
Independently leads team members on a portion of mall to large sized, high priority complex portfolios and/or projects across the organization that deliver business outcomes.
Develops capabilities in Portfolio, Project, and Change Management, scope definition, process re-engineering, workshop facilitation, organizational change management, performance measurement, and customer experience.
Analyze and interpret project and portfolio data to know how and when to take action.
Generate high-quality portfolio and project data and reporting tools distributed to various audiences including executive stakeholders when necessary.
Ensure collection of timely and accurate data from projects within the portfolio. May be assigned to work across portfolio and project teams to focus on specific assignments to ensure execution certainty.
Manages multiple, complex, cross-functional and technical projects.
Provide end-to-end support to business activities from initiation through execution, roll out and benefits realization, including all change management activities, including preparation and execution of communications and training.
Partner with functional teams during initiation, plan, design, procurement, deployment, and post deployment phases.
Responsible for managing/tracking program milestones, timeline, and overall deliverables.
Select and leverage multiple tool and techniques to ensure all action items, risks, decisions, and issues are identified, captured and escalated.
Ensure follow-up on all critical items and drive accountability through documentation of deliverables and owners to ensure continued progress against plan.
Create roadmaps, project plans and change management plans, timelines, and continuous status reporting, governance frameworks and other artifacts to support and lead discussions and workshops intended to define priorities, objectives, success measures, customer experiences, and outcomes.
Develop routine to highly complex communications on transformation initiatives used across various levels in the organization with high attention to detail and quality.
Engage in creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation including schedules, reviews, process documents, risk analysis, etc. to effectively communicate, drive accountability, and drive action.
Drive the project lifecycle milestones from concept commit through project closure and advocate change management.
Use metrics and KPIs to measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, and provide regular status updates.
Interacts professionally at many different levels (clients, management and peers). Demonstrates strong stakeholder management and fostering relationships
Develop, track and report on outcomes and key measures of success for assignment / projects

Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A.) from four-college or university and 5 to 7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of three years of project experience (project role may vary)
Strong interpersonal and communications skills (verbal, written) necessary for business partner relationships within and outside the organization.
Ability to deliver effective and informative presentations to diverse stakeholder audiences in various settings (virtual, in-person, hybrid)
Detail-oriented and proven intellectual curiosity and leadership skills
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Experience working with project management teams, resolving conflict, and meeting schedule timelines
Ability to work on multiple projects and assignments concurrently
Self-starter who is able to quickly learn new tools and gain familiarity with new processes and technologies with minimal assistance
In-depth experience creating spreadsheets, presentation material, and project/process documentation
Strong observational and analytical skills, including: ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information, strong attention to detail and accuracy, ability to track and report metrics, and manage risks
Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders and communicate project updates to client executives.
Familiarity with various project management methodologies
Business applications knowledge including MS Office Word, Excel, Powerpoint or Google -Suite Doc, Sheets, Slides
Experience with project and work management software including Atlassian toolset (Jira, Confluence, etc)
Bachelor's degree preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
ITSM industry experience
Six Sigma, Lean, Process Improvement-related education, Change Management education or related experience, Portfolio Management experience
