Aspirus Health in Wausau, WI is seeking a CONTRACT REIMBURSEMENT ANALYST to join our REVENUE CYCLE team!

The Contract Reimbursement Analyst is responsible for providing payor reimbursement analysis, claim reimbursement modeling, and contract rate recommendations for payor contract negotiations. This position serves as a subject matter expert in various methods of reimbursement and provides accurate and timely financial analysis as required for well-informed decision-making regarding payor contract negotiations. This position collaborates with revenue cycle leadership and operations, finance, Aspirus Network, and Aspirus Network Members to gain understanding of operational impacts to analysis.

HOURS: Full-Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every 2 weeks

Experience/Qualifications

  • Knowledge or education normally acquired through completion of a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or data analytics is required.
  • Master’s in health administration, Business Administration or Data Analytics preferred.
  • Three to five years of experience in contract data and financial analytics with specific expertise in healthcare reimbursement.
  • Experience with complex systems. (Epic Contract Modeling experience preferred).
  • Knowledge of revenue cycle practices normally acquired through previous experience including understanding of multiple reimbursement systems preferred.
  • Advanced skills and strong fluency in Microsoft Excel formulas and functions as well as ability to work with large volumes of data and analysis.
  • Possess strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Possess good analysis work product presentation skills to meet the needs of the reader.
  • Experience with electronic medical record billing systems, knowledge of EPIC is preferred.
  • Possess a high level of resourcefulness, innovation, and interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
  • Familiarity with data query/data management tools is preferred.
  • Ability to use independent judgment and decision-making.
  • Must possess excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Understanding of general business concepts and regulatory environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Proven ability to work in cross functional teams.
  • Strong customer orientation.
