Operations Assistant Job Summary

A family-owned powder coating company is looking for an Operations Assistant to add to their growing team. The Operations Assistant will be responsible for unloading, documenting, and organizing customer orders, as well as loading products onto washing and powder coating lines. Duties also include inspecting finished products for quality, packing and preparing shipments, coordinating with third-party vendors, assisting with customer service, and managing overall warehouse and production floor logistics.

Operations Assistant Responsibilities

• Open and close the facility each day.
• Unload and document customer orders from trucks, ensuring proper labeling and organization.
• Load products onto the washing and powder coating lines.
• Inspect finished products after oven processing to ensure quality standards are met.
• Pack, palletize, and wrap finished products for shipment.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors for pickups and deliveries.
• Provide customer service and assist vendors during order processing.
• Load customer orders onto trucks for shipment.
• Manage workflow and logistics across the warehouse and production floor.

Operations Assistant Qualities

• Sit-down forklift experience preferred.
• Experience leading a team or overseeing workflow is a plus.
• Powder coating experience preferred.
• Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask effectively.
• Willingness to assist in all areas of the production floor and warehouse.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs frequently

Schedule and Pay

• Monday – Friday, 6am – 3:30pm
• $21 - $23/hour DOE
