Position Summary
Minot State University’s Communication Sciences and Disorders Department is seeking a full-time faculty member with a commitment toward inspiring and educating the next generation of speech-language pathologists. Faculty rank is negotiable based on experience, education, and preference. Faculty may be appointed as either Instructor or Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track) or a Clinical Educator. The position is a recurring nine-month on-campus appointment with extended contract/summer employment available if desired with an anticipated start date of August, 2025.
The Department of Communication Disorders contains a flagship graduate program with national recognition that serves students from across the United States and Canada and is located at Minot State campus located in beautiful Minot, ND. The program has an accredited graduate (MS) program (both residential and distance) in Speech-Language Pathology and an undergraduate (BS) program in Communication Sciences and Disorders. The Department currently employs 10 full-time faculty who teach and provide clinical supervision as well as two part-time or adjunct faculty members who teach specialty classes. We have a strong clinical focus and are always looking for ways to enhance the clinical experiences of our students.

Applicants must possess strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to excellence in teaching students of diverse backgrounds. Because we are a growing department, determined to meet the changing landscape of education, the willingness to learn new technology, adapt to the dynamics of all learners, and an ability to think creatively and problem solve is highly desired.
Preference will be given to the candidate with pre-existing college-level teaching experience and clinical experience. Preferred areas of clinical expertise and teaching experience may include, but are not limited to: AAC, pediatric speech-language development and disorders, voice disorders, stuttering, and/or multiculturalism.
Compensation
