Where do you fit in?
The Technical Product Owner/Technical Lead (TL) is responsible for the design, development, and on time delivery of complex applications, services, components, and/or systems. They are technical leaders that will ensure the delivery of robust and efficient code while following the best practices and standards defined by the organization. While doing so, the TL is responsible for leading teams to deliver software using Agile methodologies. The TL will collaborate with organizational leaders to create a vision, define implementation plans, and communicate these transparently to whom it may concern. Finally, they are responsible for motivating their teammates, understanding their strengths/weaknesses, and delegating work in an efficient manner.
As part of our team, your main responsibilities will be:
Key Accountabilities
- Technical and domain subject matter experts in one or more business domains and/or technical areas
- Leads and manages the successful completion of all assigned development projects
- Lead contributor in the technical design and implementation of system development projects with a focus towards long-term architectural improvements
- Works collaboratively with architects/software engineers to ensure optimal decisions are made to deliver the most efficient products
- Motivates and mentors colleagues with a focus on building their careers
- Ensures that product and engineering are in agreement on product plans and strategies
- Owns Agile team delivery and execution
- Works with product to observe, learn about, contact, and analyze customers and end users of the products
- Understand internal and external environments to develop software that leverages commodity solutions and tradeoffs with competitive advantages
- Completes software engineering tasks and code reviews as need be
Decision-making and influence
- Experience leading software development teams to successful implementations and/or managerial experience over technical teams
- Ability to (verbally and in-writing) communicate clearly and succinctly complex project plans, design, and technical issues, as well as business and product requirements
- Strong organizational, time-management, analytical and decision-making skills to efficiently evaluate, plan, and accomplish personal work goals
You’ll need to bring:
- Detailed working knowledge of a System/Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Solid understanding of technical release obstacles and how to overcome them
- Experience in designing, implementing, and testing complex systems
- Previous demonstrated success in gathering information from a wide variety of sources and subsequently crafting it into effective and audience-appropriate technical and non-technical documentation
- Proven track record of success analyzing, defining, and overseeing requirements for advanced and complex applications, products and/or integrations of advanced complexity
- Proven track record in managing the requirements definition process and synthesizing for a variety of stakeholders representing large and complex organizations
- Demonstrated capacity to effectively follow established processes to ensure the successful transfer of complex technical, process and organizational knowledge
- Keen listening skills and ability to empathize with speaker’s point through verbal and non-verbal cues
- Proven ability to work in a team-oriented work culture, providing back-up support to team members & establishing/maintaining effective work relationships with co-workers within and across functional areas necessary
- Experience working in a regulated technical environment and/or previous experience with clinical software highly desirable

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical major
- Demonstrated experience will be considered in lieu of degree
- 2+ years and Software Engineering leader
- 3+ years functioning as Software Engineer
- Comparable experience will be considered
