This innovative system will use state-of-the-art AI to provide students with personalized, contextually-aware mental health and wellness support while incorporating real-time behavioral data from smartphone sensors. The role involves creating sophisticated AI models to generate safe, effective responses while adapting to individual student needs and behavioral patterns. This position is essential in demonstrating how universities can responsibly leverage AI technology to provide scalable, personalized mental health support for their student communities.

6+ years of experience in developing and deploying large language models

Strong expertise in modern AI frameworks and tools

Experience with model fine-tuning and adaptation techniques

Demonstrated ability to implement AI safety measures and content filtering

Strong understanding of ML ops and model deployment

Experience with real-time inference optimization

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Strong programming skills in Python and related ML technologies

Preferred QualificationsExperience with mental health or healthcare applications of AI

Knowledge of multimodal AI systems incorporating sensor data

Background in developing AI systems for academic or research environments

Experience with responsible AI development and ethical guidelines

Familiarity with HIPAA compliance requirements

Experience with AI model monitoring and maintenance

Knowledge of behavioral health interventions

Publications or research experience in AI/ML

Experience with distributed computing and GPU optimization
