Job Description

The HRC Business Development Project Manager will be responsible for leadership and execution of New Product Development and Process Improvement projects requiring global and/or cross functional team involvement. These projects are critical to the success of Husky’s growth objectives and commitment to delivering new products and processes which supports our customers. The Project Manager takes ownership and leads efforts from scope definition through global implementation and roll out. Success in this role will be measured by the project team’s ability to execute projects on time while meeting defined business and customer value objectives. The ideal candidate will have experience managing projects which require cross functional ownership, experience interacting with customers, the ability to multi-task by managing multiple complex projects, and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and empower indirect reports under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive Product Industrialization Excellence in relation to Operational Readiness
  • Active participation and support of New Product Development and Product sustainment projects scoping and business case development
  • Represent HRC Business Development as part of the Core IPT Team on all new development projects ensuring aspects of manufacturability and sourcing are considered
  • Provide leadership and project management for process development (manufacturing, business processes) and sourcing from Alpha projects to full commercial launch
  • Identify Stakeholders, gain their approval at critical milestones, and engage cross functional resources critical to the execution of the defined project plan
  • Responsible for supporting and coordinating Operational Leads to ensure production readiness from Production Engineering to Shipping.
  • Establish accountability, coordinate, lead, and assign actions within a cross functional team environment
  • Maintain thorough documentation of Projects Status and Details
  • Communicate and present project status and risk to stakeholders and the management team
  • Communicate the project’s impact, requirements, status and readiness within the HRC Team to the IPT project team
  • Work closely and align with the Project managers responsible for Industrialization Sales, Sales Support and Service training
  • Some international and domestic travel may be required of this position
  • Project management for other special projects as required

Performance Metrics:

  • Successful completion of New Product Development and Product Sustainment projects
  • Meeting timelines and major milestones once projects are approved
  • Meeting operation performance as stated in the project scope and business case
  • Meeting deadlines for other tasks and projects as agreed upon by stakeholders
  • Maintaining a high level of accountability, alignment, and performance within project teams
  • Operational aspects implemented meet business and market needs on a global scale, or as needed
  • Quickly and effectively communicates project status and risk to stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering preferred or equivalent experience a must
  • 5-10 years project management experience
  • Experience communicating with team members at all levels of the organization
  • Experience in a project management related function that requires collaboration with internal and/or external teams.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and empower non-reporting team members.
  • Strong knowledge of Husky products, tools standards, processes and technology
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) and interpersonal skills
  • Strong financial knowledge and insight.
  • Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, Project, Visio
  • Good analytical skills and an understanding of Minitab
  • Strong project, organization and time management skills
  • Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail
