About the Role

We are looking for an Operations & Fulfillment Associate who can manage day-to-day logistics (e.g., shipping, inventory, vendor coordination) while supporting broader operational tasks. This hybrid role requires daily onsite presence in Gurnee, IL, for hands-on responsibilities such as processing shipments and maintaining stock accuracy, along with some remote duties like documentation, analytics, and communication with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for both logistics execution and operational efficiencies, is self-motivated, and enjoys problem-solving in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Onsite Logistics & Shipping

• Coordinate all inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
• Oversee basic inventory management, track stock levels, manage restocks, and update records.
• Perform quality checks on outgoing orders, including handling returns or missing package resolutions.
• Maintain an organized workspace that supports efficient, safe day-to-day operations.

Operational Support & Process Improvement

• Engage in broader supply chain tasks, from procurement to final delivery.
• Continuously identify and document process enhancements to optimize speed, reduce costs, and scale effectively.
• Contribute to budgeting and reporting activities to monitor operational performance and costs.
• Utilize operational or distribution software to organize shipments and coordinate with other teams.
• Help establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs), reporting findings to leadership as needed.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work alongside other departments (e.g., Customer Support, Product) to quickly address shipping, fulfillment issues, or account action requests.
• Foster relationships with carriers and vendors, coordinating schedules, negotiating service terms, and troubleshooting problems.
• Communicate updates, insights, and solutions clearly and concisely to relevant stakeholders.
• Support onboarding and training for new team members, sharing best practices for both logistics and operations.

What Were Looking For

• 13 years of experience in logistics, operations, or a similar role that mixes both disciplines.
• Ability to travel to Gurnee, IL, daily for onsite responsibilities.
• Familiarity with shipping procedures, documentation, and best practices (labels, forms, compliance).
• Hands-on proficiency with shipping/distribution software, plus experience with G Suite or Microsoft Office for record-keeping, communication, and reporting.
• Proven organizational skills and the ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• A critical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities, ready to address daily operational needs and larger process challenges.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to collaborate across varied teams.
• Self-starter who is comfortable taking initiative and operating with minimal oversight.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods as needed.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience working in a tech-focused or startup environment.Past involvement in scalable operations or high-growth scenarios.
