The Department of Computer Information Systems has twelve full-time faculty and is one of five departments in the College of Business. The Department, founded in 1964, was one of the first CIS Departments in the country. Together, the Department and College provide excellent support for research including summer research programs and a dedicated lab for behavioral research.
The College of Business at Colorado State University enrolls more than 5,000 undergraduate and graduate students in on-campus and online programs. The CIS department has approximately 170 undergraduate students enrolled in its Computer Information Systems concentration. The College was among the first to offer an AACSB accredited distance MBA degree. That program streams lectures of an on-campus cohort to about 900 off-campus students. The CIS department has approximately 230 students enrolled in its Master of Computer Information Systems program and provides the program to online learners using this same “lecture capture” delivery model. The program has consistently been ranked as one of the top 20 information systems programs in the nation.

Position Summary
The Department of Computer Information Systems in the College of Business may hire postdoctoral fellows from an applicant pool from time to time. The teaching load and course assignments are made by the Department Chair. The post-doc will typically teach 2 classes per academic year for the duration of the position.
A post-doctoral fellow will conduct research in collaboration with the CIS faculty leading to scholarly publications in leading academic journals along with teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in information systems. They will also be expected to advance the Department’s commitment to the College’s mission.
The College of Business (COB) has prioritized impactful, informative research addressing the intersections between business, society, and the environment. It also values excellence, as reflected in rigorous research published in top disciplinary journals. We expect the postdoctoral fellow to contribute to the mission of the COB by producing impactful research in collaboration with the Department’s faculty.
The Department of Computer Information Systems in the College of Business at Colorado State University invites applications for a 2-year Postdoctoral Fellow position. Postdoctoral fellows may be hired for fall or spring term in a given academic year. Applications will be accepted throughout the calendar year. Hiring decisions are normally made during the late spring and throughout the summer for fall semester and during fall semester for spring semester.
