Bartlett Tree Experts is looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate must promote a positive work ethic, be extremely flexible, and demonstrate the ability to champion and implement change while being a strategic partner with our field staff. The candidate must be able to anticipate and analyze problems, resolve issues through creative problem-solving, and manage multiple assignments and changing priorities.

Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication and presentation skills. Must have knowledge of company systems as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Candidates must demonstrate excellent administrative and organizational skills and time management, as well as demonstrate the ability to handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with the Director of Human Resources and HR team to understand and execute the organization’s human resources strategy.
  • Provides support to management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodation, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
  • Identifies learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Participates, when needed, in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • A minimum of three years of Human Resource Management experience is preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
