The team analyses and monitors operational KPIs across the region and conducts root cause analysis when operation performance fluctuates. Job Description:
We are looking for a highly driven and detail-oriented Strategic Procurement & Automation Project Manager to lead procurement efforts and manage automation and infrastructure investments for Shopee Express. This role will be responsible for designing and executing procurement strategies, running tenders, evaluating vendors, and ensuring successful project implementation from end to end.
- Strategic Procurement:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies to optimise costs while ensuring quality and efficiency in logistics operations
- Craft, manage, and run procurement tenders, ensuring a competitive selection process
- Conduct vendor evaluations, negotiations, and selection to drive cost savings and performance improvements
- Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders to secure long-term strategic partnerships
- Develop and enforce procurement policies and compliance standards
- Project Management (Automation & Infrastructure Investments):
- Lead end-to-end project management for automation and infrastructural investments, ensuring alignment with business goals, adherence to timelines, high-quality implementation, and effective cost control
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards
- Monitor and report on project progress, proactively identify and resolve issues, mitigate risks, and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and at the highest quality standards
- Cross-functional Collaboration & Reporting:
- Work closely with legal, finance, operations, engineering, and regional leadership teams to align procurement and investment strategies
- Analyse data to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance operational efficiencies
- Provide regular updates on procurement and project status to senior management, highlighting key progress, challenges and resolutions
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, project management, or related fields, preferably within logistics or e-commerce
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to hustle to clear roadblocks and manage issues proactively
- Willingness to travel across Asia as most projects are overseas
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin to facilitate cross border discussions and collaborations with stakeholders from Asia
- Proven experience in running procurement tenders and vendor negotiations
- Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully leading automation or infrastructure investment projects
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with competing priorities
