Job Description

Our team is looking for a project manager to deliver a mix of technical building services projects (electrical, HVAC, hydraulic, fire systems, BMS, etc) and architectural/retail/fitout projects in operating and occupied buildings. We are uniquely skilled and support our clients through the process of identifying, assessing feasibility of, designing, and delivering these technical upgrade/CAPEX projects.

  • Leading the establishment of the overall success criteria for the project, including time, cost, technical and performance parameters.
  • Planning and managing quality, safety, health and environment issues on projects.
  • Risk identification and management.
  • Establishing effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilized throughout project.
  • Project planning, including ensuring the production of the detailed project plan.
  • Advising upon the procurement of contractors and consultants.
  • Co-ordinating with the overall cross-functional project team.
  • Managing the change control process.
  • Monitoring and advising upon project finances.
  • Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications.
  • Ensuring the production of formal project progress and other reports.
  • Taking a leading role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.
  • Stakeholder management, understanding client key requirements and communicating/reporting accordingly.
  • Managing the tender process and producing tender recommendations
  • Marketing and business development activities 
  • Internal management activities including financial management and quality processes and procedures.
  • Ensuring the production of formal project progress and other reports.
  • Taking a leading role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.
  • Stakeholder management, understanding client key requirements and communicating/reporting accordingly.
  • Managing the tender process and producing tender recommendations
  • Marketing and business development activities 
  • Internal management activities including financial management and quality processes and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering field or project management, or relevant industry experience in building services and construction (Builder, Contract administration, Electrical, HVAC, Security, BMS, Fire, Hydraulic, etc).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management who can deliver projects autonomously with senior support
