SUMMARY OF OPPORTUNITY: 

The Project Manager reports to the director. Has the authority to run projects on a day-to-day basis; drives project implementation and workstreams. Works closely with the director and project specialist to bridge all lines of business that the district is involved in, and act as a voice for the collective business units. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Leads projects across Digital Strategy, Operations, HR, and Finance functional areas to drive change and contribute to implementing organizational long-term district strategy. Develop project implementation plans, documents, and training; ensures all technology projects, solutions, and tasks are managed effectively and delivered on time and within cost. 

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide project portfolio leadership, coordinate and/or collaborate with the director, project specialist, and other functional team leads
  • Serve as the primary communicator of the project timeline, status, and results to key executive/senior management stakeholders.
  • Oversee project development, testing, and documentation of system custom modules, integrations, and reports.
  • Work with project stakeholders as the point of contact to develop statements of work and project plans 
  • Surface ideas for improving operations and implementations
  • Assess the financial budget of each project and update the director
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

On a regular day, as the project manager, you might:

  • Assist and support transformation team members
  • Supervise projects, project teams, and tasks
  • Delegates tasks and responsibilities to appropriate team members
  • Problems solved to resolve project issues, conflicts, and discrepancies
  • Leads in the preparation of training materials, procedure documents, and knowledge articles
  • Attend meetings, field emails, and communicate with the director

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Business discipline, Communications, Human Resources, Education, or other Techincal Business Administration function preferred. Minimum and 3-5 years of comparable experience. Three or more years of work experience in project management, administrative support, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
